Diffusion pumps

A diffusion pump is a pump used to achieve very high vacuum levels. The diffusion pump operates by carrying gas molecules through a directed vapor stream of heavy gas molecules, such as oil vapor. The same principle applies to the vapor jet pump, which is generally used in industrial processes.
